Stateless Architecture Privacy Guarantee:
Nutrilab: Nutrition Facts is designed with a 100% stateless product data architecture. All nutrition facts, ingredient lists, and panel settings are stored strictly in your store's native Shopify Product Metafields. We do not maintain or store your product nutrition data in external databases.
1. Information We Collect
Nutrilab: Nutrition Facts collects minimal data required to provide its services:
Shopify Account Information: Store domain (e.g., your-shop.myshopify.com) and OAuth access tokens securely generated during installation via Shopify App Bridge.
Product Identification: Shopify Product and Variant IDs used exclusively to push and read native Shopify Metafields.
Billing Information: Subscription tier and Shopify recurring application charge identifiers managed entirely through Shopify's Billing API. We never process or hold credit card details.
Customer Personal Information (PII):None. We do not collect, view, or process names, email addresses, shipping addresses, or payment information of your store's shoppers.
2. How We Use Information
To authenticate your store and connect with the Shopify GraphQL Admin API.
To read and write nutrition facts directly to your store's nutrition.facts_data metafields.
To process packaging label scans via secure, stateless AI OCR processing. Images uploaded for scanning are processed in-memory and are never used to train public machine learning models.
3. Data Retention & Deletion (GDPR & CCPA)
We strictly comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR compliance webhooks:
customers/data_request: Handled automatically. No customer PII is retained.
customers/redact: Handled automatically. No customer PII is retained.
shop/redact: Upon app uninstallation and subsequent redaction request, all shop authentication tokens and configuration settings are permanently purged.
4. Storefront Performance & Third-Party Scripts
The Nutrilab: Nutrition Facts Theme App Extension runs as pure server-side rendered (SSR) Liquid and lightweight Vanilla CSS. It injects zero third-party tracking scripts, cookies, or tracking pixels onto your storefront.
